Halloween

Boo! Halloween was in full swing this year. Niall was Jake the Pirate while Ben was his sidekick the parrot. We hit up a pumpkin patch complete with rides in attempt to make southern California feel like fall. On Halloween night we walked the neighborhood with friends in search of candy. Spooky!

Taking the birthday train to Santa Barbara

We have been talking about taking a train trip to Santa Barbara since Niall was born and we finally made it happen. Niall turned 3 so we took the "birthday train" with the family for a long weekend of fun. Our friends from San Francisco Mike and Amber as well as Marcos and Becky from LA met up with us. We explored the beach, marina and main drag State St as well as my favorite- The Funk Zone for some wine tasting.

Mimi visits! Niall turns 3!

A birthday is not complete without a visit from Mimi.  She was able to join in the fun at swim lessons and took us on a stay-cation to La Costa in Carlsbad. Mimi and Niall Jr also had a special day at Lego Land. Thanks Mimi!

Pre-school!!

Niall is a big boy now in the Jungle Room with his new teacher Eva. Ben is loving his room with the little guys in the Kittens.

August beach and pool days

Many beach days were spent this summer. Ben has a great time eating sand and Niall loves to play with his trucks and building roads. Niall is still not too sure about swimming in the ocean but loves the pool. Ben is quite the water bug himself and is very happy floating around while Niall is diving for his sticks.

Smart

Hopefully they won't need these goggles any time soon but they sure look cute.
